Introduction to Innovative Learning and TeachingWelcome to the Innovative Learning and Teaching (ILT) web pages! We invite you to explore these pages and discover fresh and practical ideas about learning and create new and innovative ways of teaching. The ILT efforts began in early 2000 and include awarding grants (Partnership and Learning Communities Initiative), partnering with institutions around the state to offer WebCT and Blackboard professional development workshops; developing web resources that support the effective use of learning technologies (such as CourseCheck); establishing moderated online communities that offer just-in-time info, networking, and problem solving for hundreds of Ohio educators; and creating Ohio's online technology-related event calendar technopoli. Our most recent new initiative is TeachU, OLN's online webinars. Whether you are an instructor, faculty member, distance learning administrator, librarian, instructional designer, faculty developer, or IT professional, resources are available for you. From Adjuncts to Webinars, dozens of critical topics are included. You will find resources that explain and provide examples of how to effectively use technologies that support learning. All of us have a role in helping provide dynamic, media-rich, technologically supported learning environments. OLN's Innovative Learning and Teaching Committee supports and oversees these initiatives and suggests new services to help OLN member institutions.
We invite your suggestions to make these pages even better. |
