Description:

The focus of this learning community is to pursue a web-based approach to the associate degree nursing curriculum. The program initially is targeting persons who already hold a bachelors degree in another field and would like to become a registered nurse. Four colleges of nursing who have associate degree nursing programs have come together to design such a curriculum pathway and convert the introductory nursing course to web-based format. The theory and lecture portions of the curriculum will be online. The clinical and skills proficiency components are to be delivered at the campus closest to the students.
