Description:

This interprofessional community of faculty, university administrators, and advanced Ph.D. students will focus on working together to create specialized continuing education courses focusing on the theory and practice of teaching and learning at a distance. The goal is to assist instructors in various settings as they move across the boundaries of face-to-face and online teaching and learning. The major goals of this community are to:

a. Create a community of scholars and practitioners who share information and research about teaching and learning in online environments.

b. Expand the community by developing Web-based professional development courses focusing on the theory and practice of teaching and learning at a distance.

c. Provide a place and space for the community to explore best practices related to teaching online.

These goals align with the goals of both The Ohio State University and the College of Education.
