Description:

A group of six OCC faculty members, an Instructional Designer, and the Group Facilitator will establish a learning community to develop and conduct peer-to-peer training and sharing of best practices in the delivery of web-based instruction. Synchronous activities will be the primary focus of the group, but asynchronous modules will also be developed and made available from each session. The three major goals for the OCC FLC will be: I. To increase the readiness and confidence of faculty in utilizing technology to deliver education to web-based learners II. Challenge instructors / trainees to translate their new knowledge and understanding into actions III. To foster collaboration by sharing among colleagues within the College and across the state of Ohio Peer-to-peer training aligns with the identification of a “Need for more faculty training, orientation and awareness” as referenced in the College’s 2004 Strategic Plan entitled, “Choosing Our Direction.”
