What were the requirements for community resource sharing?

Resource sharing is an explicit requirement of the Learning Communities Initiative grant program and a critical part of the initiative's mission. We share Lee Shullman’s philosophy that the scholarship of teaching requires three characteristics:  1) that it be public; 2) that it be available for critical review and evaluation; and 3) that it be made available for exchange and use by others within the scholarly community. Therefore, each Learning Community funded by the OLN LCI is required to widely disseminate all newly created resources (digital and otherwise). In addition, each community was required to share their own unique "story" by recording their journey using a Case Study approach. The overarching purpose of this requirement was to dispense new knowledge and discoveries to faculty and others outside of the LCI who work in Ohio's colleges and universities.
