Description:

Learning Community Goals (LCG):

LCG #1 : To bring together a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and learn how to use innovative web-based technologies which support problem-based learning in the classroom.

LCG #2 : To develop and begin to implement a plan of action research which can serve as a model for faculty using PBL to assess the impact of technologically enhanced problem-based learning in their classrooms. With accountability at the forefront of many institutional discussions, campuses are looking at assessment of student learning with increased interest. This is the case within our own institution.

LCG #3 : To enhance faculty and student understanding of the process of problem-based learning through development of an interactive PBL website which will house numerous resources including interactive virtual problems.
