COBL, The Center for Online and Blended Learning at BGSU, has developed a web-based Electronic Performance Support System, which contains blackboard video tutorials they created to help teachers setup, manage, and facilitate their courses more effectively. The system provides "just-in-time-training" so users can get the training they need, when they need it, simply by searching for it via the Search Engine, Categories, Tag Cloud, or RSS Feed.
The system is built on top of the blogging system COBL developed for BGSU, and uses an Ajax based live search engine, similar to Apple's spotlight, which populates with search results in real-time as the user types. It also utilizes Categories for grouping similar tutorials, a Tag Cloud for a visual representation of the most abundant tutorial topics, and an RSS feed to subscribe to the latest tutorials.
