If you are considering looking at best management colleges, let us take a quick look at a few ways an MBA may help you further yourself in the profession of your choice –
The education it provides you
It is definitely a fact that doing an advanced degree like an MBA will teach you a lot more about the field you are interested in rather than just jumping into a job head first as a fresher. An MBA degree aims to teach its students the ins and outs of their specialisation and the different kinds of arenas they can enter thereafter. It helps you realise the scope of your chosen profession. Good businesses schools also make it a point to inculcate their students with hands on experience, internships, as well as further talks and educational lectures by well known guest speakers from the industry. It can give you a great edge over competitors who do not have this kind of thorough knowledge about a field.
The prestige attached to it
When you submit your resume to a company or walk in for an interview, having the title of an MBA graduate student definitely puts a little extra zing in your qualifications. Since it is considered one of the best degrees around depending on the field, having one from a good management college can do wonders when it comes to getting your foot in the door. People who are already in the work force can also opt for part time MBA courses to further their qualifications, since this is often just the push you need that can carry you from mid range management level jobs to the upper echelon. It will also help you in commanding a higher pay grade and starting salary as compared to your peers, which over time definitely negates the extra expenses incurred to do such a degree.
It helps you build a network
When you study mba in uk you are bound to be surrounded by other ambitious, intelligent and driven individuals just like yourself. These are the people much like you who will go forward and try and take their career paths to a higher level giving you a pre-made set of potentially useful contacts. More importantly a reputed business school is often associated with good companies and firms that are looking to hire new talent fresh out of B school. This network pool that you will have access to can give you a huge lead over others when it comes to finding employment.
There are many reasons to opt for a degree such as this one. Weigh the pros and cons carefully before you commit to an intensive course.

I am in my second year of Hotel Management studies at IHM Goa and have been talking to some of my seniors and my classmates too about doing an MBA after college. I hear an MBA gives you that competitive edge in the immediate business environment and definitely want that. I have seen many people who have finished their Hotel Management studies who have wandered in different paths after and are still struggling. I don’t want to be there and hence I will certainly opt in for the post graduation course like an MBA in Hospitality and Hotel Administration. Do you know which are the best management colleges i can approach for a MBA in Hotel Management?
I did an MBA one of the best management colleges in USA – Harvard. Now you can imagine the preassure I had upon me. Firstly to get in is very difficult, after which to pay the tuition and then passing with great scores and getting a good job. It’s all very easier said than done. I was at harvard in 2005 and passed out in 2007 and in these 2 years got to learn a lot about the outside world and how business in changing and how challenging the world has become.
One of the great things about doing an MBA degree is getting the opportunity to meet like-minded people. After all, since not everyone is interested in doing an MBA degree, only certain types of people will be in your class alongside you. Yes I met some very interesting people who were studying with me at harvard. At the end of college we were all out for interviews and getting jobs. Lucky for me one of my classmates got into a big firm White & Case and recommended my name for a position there. Guess what i did get in and am working there ever since. In about 3 years i was able to cover for all my college expences (plus the parties lol) and am living in a beautiful penthouse apartment. So believe me when i say this.Make friends not enemies when doing an MBA you never know who will help you.
